We teach both English & Western riding at Big Oak Equestrian Center. Whether it be the goal of showing Western Pleasure, hunter/jumper, doing cow work such as cutting, trail, or just pure enjoyment, we are dedicated to helping students meet their equine objectives. Along with learning how to ride, students learn about the equipment that is used and how to it is used, get hands-on experience haltering, leading, tying, and grooming the horse. They will also learn how to saddle and bridle the horse, how to mount and dismount, and prepare the horse to be returned to stall or pasture. Basic veterinary care, nutrition, and

physiology are also covered and there’s ample opportunities to observe basic veterinary procedures and farrier work if students are interested.
Semi-private or group riding lessons are available Monday to Saturday, teaching all levels of instruction from beginning to advanced. No horse? No Problem! We have a number of wonderful resident school horses available. When the time is right to consider leasing or buying, we can help with that too. Not only do we offer a nice range of options here at the ranch, we can assist with the lease or buying process to help ensure you find the perfect fit for your riding level, lifestyle, and goals.
